Why we built the site
One cross-border sale can involve several regimes and decision-makers.
A foreign business may need to separate the authorised representative, the packaging register, dual-system participation, volume reports, electrical equipment and batteries, while also mapping marketplaces, own-shop sales and German importers.
The site structures those first questions and links to primary sources. It does not replace the central agency, the packaging register, a dual system, stiftung ear, a marketplace or legal advice.
When someone requests help, the EPR Europe team responds on behalf of the company operating eprdeutschland.com. Any proposal, mandate or service is agreed separately outside the public site.

Institutional context
Official evidence comes from the body that issues it.
Registers, mandates, licences, reports and marketplace decisions are separate. Always match the document to the entity, product stream and sales route.
Central agency
Zentrale Stelle Verpackungsregister
Operates the LUCID packaging register and the public producer register, confirms authorised-representative designations and cross-checks volume reports. It may not advise on the choice of dual system or on prices.
Ten authorised systems
Dual systems
Organise collection and recovery of household packaging. One contract with any one of them covers Germany. They set their own tariffs, so no statutory packaging rate exists.
Electrical register
stiftung ear
Registers producers of electrical and electronic equipment per brand and category and administers the guarantee required for household equipment. It is a separate regime from packaging.
PPWR framework
European Union
Regulation (EU) 2025/40 has applied since 12 August 2026 and the German implementation act took effect on the same day. Implementing measures continue to develop.
eprdeutschland.com is an independent private service and is not affiliated with, approved or endorsed by the Zentrale Stelle Verpackungsregister, the LUCID packaging register, any dual system, stiftung ear, the Umweltbundesamt or Amazon. Germany operates no approval scheme for authorised representatives. Each organisation controls its own decisions and evidence.
